Porting Enterprise AP to Cost-Effective WiFi 7 Platform

Our team undertook the complex task of porting an enterprise Access Point (AP) solution from its original chipset to a new, cost-effective WiFi 7 platform. This transition involved deep integration of drivers, applications, and SDKs to ensure seamless functionality. The goal was to help the enterprise AP vendor remain competitive in markets where cost efficiency and fewer features are crucial. Over the course of 36 months, we first validated a proof-of-concept to demonstrate the new chipset’s compatibility with the vendor’s proprietary stack. Following this, we developed the full production software, which is now ready for testing, certification, manufacturing, performance validation, and release to satisfied customers.
